Dinnerladies

Dinnerladies is a BBC sitcom written by and starring Victoria Wood that chronicles the antics of a group of workers in a canteen at the north west of England. Bren tries to maintain a semblance of order amongst the chaos, while addressing the manager, slightly cancer sufferer Tony that is sex-obsessed. Dolly and Jean are best although the bickering menopausal women that are elderly at odds friends under everything. Subsequently there is thick-as-two-short-planks Anita, and the terminally uninterested Twinkle, more concerned with having a fantastic time than anything else. Creating the motley crew are military man handyman Stan, all rules and regulations, along with ditzy Philippa, who never appears to get anything .
